OMG! This blog post is one of my favorites! Bryant and I decided a while back that for our Save the Date invites we wanted to do a video instead of cards. Our super talented friends offered to help us out with this creative project. Justin Gaar and Ali Clark, both in our wedding party, co-created the video. They also brainstormed with two of our other bestfriends, Brian Ratigan and Jessica Thompson, with how the short 2 minute clip was going to capture the viewer and express our love for one another. They creatively imagined up something that sounded impossible to me and Bryant. They talked of chasing one another, color explosions, and fairytales. My heart fluttered with the thought of making this happen.

We filmed the whole thing in two days, which for a 2 minute clip sounded a little crazy. But once edited down to perfection every moment was important. They used the same camera I shoot with to capture the video, the Canon 5D Mark II. The lenses that were used were the 70-200 f2.8 and the 24-70 f2.8 they also used a homemade dolly which you can see bellow. Most of the filming involved Bryant and I running, which after two days I thought my legs were going to fall off! At one point in the shoot we ran through a bees nest and Bryant and I got stung 3 or 4 times! I only wish it had been caught on video because Bryant was screaming girlier than me. I also believe I pulled my dress up as I was running away because I thought bees were flying up there, I’m sure it was quite a site to see for our friends haha.

Brian was the Grip guy, who helped tremendously and his amazing girlfriend Jessica did my hair. They actually both just moved to Florida so this was an incredible project to do with them before they left. Although now I don’t know who’s going to do my hair. But I’m lucky enough to have her coming to my wedding to make sure I look fabulous! She’s even gong to give all my bridesmaids feather extensions!

One of my favorite parts of the video is when it dolly’s in on the book with the drawing of Bryant and I kissing! The original photo came from the Irish Engagement shoot Ali did of us in March. But it was my Maid of Honor, Alysson Hursey who made it into a drawing <3 We couldn’t have done this without the help of our talented friends! I hope to work together as team again. Bryant and I are sooo lucky to have them in our lives, we love you guys!

Also you may have noticed our save the date is 3 days. This is because we want to celebrate with all our friends all weekend long. There will be camping, pies, a cappella, s’mores and more! You may be also wondering, what is that dreamy music in our video? Well it’s an edited version The Antlers, “Rolled Together.” Music both Bryant and I love!
