My friend, Leigh Ann asked me to assist her with a wedding shoot in New York over Memorial Day weekend. I was so excited to be a part of a big wedding in the big city!  However, a few weeks before the wedding, the bride called and said the wedding was off  – it was his loss ;). We already purchased our tickets and thought why not have a girls weekend?! Ironically, I read online that one of my dear friends from college was getting married in NY that same weekend. So instead of working a wedding, we attended one! While we were there, we photographed strangers and friends that go way back. Leigh Ann helped me realize you can stop and ask anyone if it’s cool to take their photograph. Although I’ve never met a stranger in my life, I find it hard to abruptly stop someone and take their picture. However you can see from the photos below, it pays off because you get great images and you make new friends!

Leigh Ann’s friend, Chriselle, a professional actress and model, let us photograph her while we were there.   She has had roles in Sex and the City II and Gossip Girls! She was sooo beautiful with her movements she looked like one of the statues in Central Park !

NY Poet we met at a bar 🙂

My good friends Heather and Bob’s wedding! I’m soooo happy for them. They are one of the most beautiful artistic couples I know!

One of my favorite teachers and my adviser, Brian Bishop, from the University of Alabama was at my friend’s wedding. I may have never graduated or been the artist I am today if it wasn’t for him! You can check out some of his work at his website!
